MundiQuiz has no accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no third-party tracking. Almost everything the game knows about you never leaves your phone. This page explains the exception.
What stays on your device
Your records, which countries you have been asked about, and how you answered are stored in a database inside the app on your phone. Survival, Hardcore and Practice work entirely offline and send nothing anywhere. If you delete the app, that history is gone.
What leaves your device
Only the daily challenge talks to a server, because everyone has to get the same ten questions and be ranked against each other. The first time you open it, the app creates ananonymous account for you. That account has no email, no name, no password and nothing you typed — it is a random identifier.
When you play the daily challenge, the following is sent and stored:
- that random identifier
- the date you played
- your score, and how long you took
That is the whole list. Which answers you got wrong is kept on your phone and is never sent.
The identifier is a device, not a person
The anonymous account lives in the app's storage on one phone. It is not linked to your Apple ID, your email or any other app. If you delete MundiQuiz and install it again you get anew identifier, and the previous one becomes unreachable — including by us. There is no way to recover an old score, and no way to connect the two.
Who else is involved
The daily challenge runs on Supabase, which hosts the database and the functions that check your score. The servers are in the United States. Supabase processes this data on our behalf and for no other purpose.
Apple will tell us how many people downloaded the app and whether it crashed, in aggregate, the same as for any app on the App Store. We never see who you are.
How long it is kept
Daily challenge scores are kept so that the game can show you your own history and rank the day you played. The public ranking only ever covers a single day. You can ask us to delete everything attached to your identifier — see below — although in practice deleting the app already makes it anonymous beyond recovery.
Children
MundiQuiz is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. It collects no personal information from anyone, of any age.
This website
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and embeds nothing from anyone else. The typefaces are served from this domain rather than from a font service, so that visiting a page does not tell a third party you were here. The one question on the home page is answered entirely in your browser and nothing about it is recorded.
Changes
If the app ever starts collecting something new, this page changes before that version is released, and the date at the top changes with it.
